Last month Google said that it is going to launch an initiative which would help webmasters to make the web faster. This initiative is an extension of the new way of thinking that Google has thought of.
As of now it has shared a new tool called Page Speed, which would show how webmasters could increase the speed of pages on the sites. This tool is actually a Firefox/Firebug add-on which can be used for evaluation of web page performance and in return provides suggestions for improvement.This tool will carry out the tests on server’s site configuration and front end codes. These test rates your site against the set of best practices proven to enhance the web page performance. So whenever you run Page Speed on site’s pages you would be provided with a set of scores for each page as well as suggestions on how to improve performance.
It is such a great tool that webmasters should use so that they can make their site speed faster, attracting more visitors engaged in your site, reduce the bandwidth and in turn improve the hosting costs.
